The Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home is owned and operated by Peter J. Adonizio and his family. Peter J. "P.J." Adonizio, is a 1978 graduate of Scranton Preparatory School. He received a B.S. degree in Business Management from St. Leo University, St. Leo, Florida in 1982. He graduated from the Simmons School of Mortuary Science in 1983.
P.J. obtained his Pennsylvania State Funeral Director's License in 1984. He became a Luzerne County Deputy Coroner in 1993.
     P.J. is married to the former Alicia Ghilardi of Peckville; they have two sons, Peter J., Jr. and Joseph Pasquale. In 2001 they established the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home at 802 Susquehanna Avenue, West Pittston, Pennsylvania. The Adonizio's operated at that location until September of 2011, when a devestating flood destroyed the interior of their home. Shortly thereafter, the Adonizio's purchased the former Adonizio Funeral Home located at 251 William St., Pittston, PA.
     Since 2001, P.J. and his family have provided unmatched, compassionate and dignified service to countless families who have entered their home in West Pittston, and will continue to do the same at their new location in Pittston.
Welcome to the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home. Our facility is curently located at 251 William St., Pittston, Pennsylvania. Our original location at 802 Susquehanna Ave., West Pittston, PA was destroyed in September 2011 by the historic flooding caused by Tropical Storm Lee. Our original location was established in 2001 at the site of the former Donnelly Funeral Home. Since its inception, we at the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home have strived to provided a peaceful setting for local families to commemorate the loss of a loved one. Now at our new location at 251 William St., Pittston, the same tradition of quality service proudly continues.

Assisted by my wife, Alicia, and our two sons, Peter Jr. and Joseph, we provide some of the areas most compassionate funeral care.

Since our establishment in 2001, local families have found that both service and professionalism are paramount at Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home.
